Athletic Philosophy

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Colossians 3:17

The Philosophy of Medina Christian Academy Athletics is an extension of the school’s mission statement. Medina Christian Academy will seek to grow our student athletes in through relationships, commitment to excellence and service to Glorify God. Our goal is that all students will experience purpose beyond oneself to serve the greater mission of Christ.

Medina Christian Academy recognizes that the student athlete comes first; winning is secondary. When winning is done to glorify God. Winning is done in a Christ honoring manner. We will always play for an audience of one. Christian principals are to always be exhibited through athletics. We desire to grow closer to Christ through athletics.

Our goal is for student athletes to understand and apply God’s purpose in their lives. We will strive to guide and develop all students to fulfill their god given purpose.

Spiritual: Students use their God-given talents to experience athletics as an instrument that can lead them closer to God.

Loving: Students go beyond personal interest and self-gratification in responding to teammates and opponents.

Committed to Doing Justice: Students understand the value of rules and fair play as they prepare for greater participation in life both in the church and in social or community activities.

Intellectually: Students gain an expertise in the techniques and strategies of the sport as they develop as intelligent, responsible leaders.
